The EU Fish Market
The European Market Observatory for Fishery and Aquaculture Products has published the latest report on the European Union Fish Market.
According to this report, in 2019, the EU's domestic fisheries and aquaculture production 28 was 5.06 million tonnes, of which it exported 2.23 million tonnes, while importing 9.47 million tonnes to ensure domestic consumption. Thus, only 23% of what the inhabitants of the EU-28 countries consumed came from domestic production.
Regarding the consumption of these products at EU level 28, in 2019, the EU registered an average of approximately 24% kg / capita while consumption in Romania is 8.11% kg / capita.
